The fight against cancer continues: we all know someone who has battled this devastating disease.

To honour those in our community fighting cancer, or in remembrance of someone who has lost their battle, the Moricetown Health Centre is encouraging members to come together and donate their hair to the BC Cancer Agency. To date, four members have agreed to donate their hair, and are diligently collecting pledges from family, friends and colleagues.

The date of our hair cutting event is the morning of May 19, which coincides with a basket social — a partner fundraiser being organized by Moricetown Elementary School, where baskets of delicious goodies will be available for auction.

Hair clippers come out at 10:30 a.m.!

All money raised at the basket social will be donated to the BC Children’s Hospital to buy toys. All cut hair is being donated for wigs for cancer patients.

Auction bidders are welcome to come early to view the baskets, and we encourage everyone to come and donate to these important causes.
