The District of New Hazelton will be celebrating Canada Day this Friday in their traditional fashion with all sorts of fun activities and the Annual Canada Day parade.
Festivities kick off at 9 a.m. at Allen Park in New Hazelton with a free pancake breakfast and the parade will follow a few hours later.
There will be lots of fun for the little ones including bouncy tents, face painting, bike decorating contest for the parade, games and prizes, snow cones and cotton candy and free draws.
There is also the Annual Soap Box Derby and kits are still available at the district office. For those without a car, don’t hesitate to come by, there is always a few extra around and everyone always gets a turn. Make sure to bring a helmet!
In addition, there will also be the official cake cutting and speeches from various local dignitaries and a lot more fun for everyone.
