FASD resources available in Smithers

The Bulkley Valley Child Development Program provides multi-disciplinary assessments and key worker support services to children and youth up to 19 years old with complex behavioural conditions, and to their families.

The Dze L K’ant Friendship Centre has a Full Circle Support Program that offers a variety of prevention and support services including parenting support, life skills training and advocacy.

As well, Smithers Community Services Association offers the FASD Services program that increases awareness and prevention while improving the support available to people living with FASD.

Last week the province recognized FASD Prevention and Support Day in B.C., which was on Sept. 9.
