The Annual Bike-4-Books Fathers Day fundraiser was another great success this year according to organizers.

David Jones, founder of the event, said this year held some particularly great moments for him.

“David and Robert Charret once again rode an impressive 146 kilometres,” Jones said. “These two young kids are just amazing and what a great feat to ride so far.”

Yet the young weren’t the only ones to amaze Jones this year.

“Then there is Doug Greg who suffered a stroke recently and is 83 years old,” he said. “When he showed up I just couldn’t believe it and then he amazed me even more and rode three kilometres which is just incredible and totally inspiring for all of us.”

Participation in general was great again this year with lots of money being raised for the Lit Limo who helps keep literacy flowing in the Hazeltons.
