The Prestige Hudson Bay Lodge will be hosting the Bulkley Valley Wedding & Women’s Expo on Feb. 17.
The expo will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m and it is the second year it has taken place.
This time admission will be free. Another change to the expo this year is there will be a fashion show and a trunk show.
The fashion show will start at noon and last 30 to 45 minutes.
Over 25 vendors, many of them local, are expected to attend the expo.
“We wanted to give the community the opportunity to showcase all of the amazing business and services that the Bulkley Valley has to offer when it comes to planning a wedding or graduation, having a baby or simply celebrating being a woman in today’s busy world,” said convention and sales manager Daniela Bork.
Bridal, prom and evening wear dresses from the Gallery Bridal Boutique in Prince George will be featured in the trunk show.
A trunk show is an bridal fashion event, where high end designers bring their brand new collections “in a trunk” for potential clients to check out and try on. These fashions are not available yet in any stores and act as a sneak peek at new bridal collections Bork said.
