There is an exciting new program coming to the Hazeltons called Art in Allen Park in New Hazelton. The program will be geared towards children between the ages of 8 and 12 and will focus on instruction in drawing, painting and recycled object sculpture. The youth will be led by a group of talented young local artists and the course is set to run from August 2nd to the 5th from 10 a.m. until noon each day. Children will be able to complete a finished piece each session and there is a cost of $30 per child for materials and refreshments. Space is limited to 15 participants so people should register in advance by contacting Lesley Hart at lhart@telus.net.
