Wayne Sidney Sketchley

December 23, 2005

Wayne was born in Dawson Creek, B.C., to Doreen and Irving Sketchley on Jan. 18, 1950. He passed on at his home in Smithers from a two year battle with cancer on Dec. 23, 2005. He was the eldest of five siblings.

Left to mourn his passing is his loving wife of 27 years, Karlean, sons Josh and Jared, mother Doreen (Chris) Atkins, brothers Larry (Lynn) and Vern, sisters Lynn (Bob) and Sandi (Paul), numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, mother-in-law Shirley Frobisher, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, cousins he loved so dearly. Friends who were special and loved.

Wayne’s love for music was always prevalent in his life. He was a hard working man with being an owner-operator of a logging truck prior to truck sales.

Wayne enjoyed fishing, golfing and playing hockey. He built his own log home and raised his two sons with coaching hockey and giving encouragement for music.

All family and friends will miss his good humour. There will be a void of his presence physically but his love and music will live on.

Until we meet again.

Love K.
