Shirley Geraldine Jackson

Date of Passing: Oct. 13, 2003
Shirley is survived by her loving husband and daughter, Verne and Kim Jackson. She will be remembered by those who knew her as being vibrant, a joy to spend time with and a consummate joker possessing a fabulous sense of humour with a “trademark” infectious laugh. (She would send herself and others into a fit of laughter often.)
Shirley touched people’s hearts by showing she cared through her lovely smile, sending little gifts and remembrances, listening to their stories and giving words of encouragement. Her contributions to the people she knew were much appreciated and will always be remembered by those who cared about her.
“Be not blue, for if you look you shall find me...I will be translucent shimmering wings between the sun and sky.”
A letter for my mom:
I miss your beautiful blue, sparkly eyes. You were my best friend. You were benevolent and kind. Many of my friends considered you their second mom and felt blessed to know you. I am so grateful you were in my life for the last 36 years. I am proud to say you were my mother. I know you fought hard to stay with us after your heart surgery. You were so brave and courageous during your last hours with us here on earth. I am grateful I was by your side, holding your hand until you drew your last breath. I am honored to have been part of your process. I know you were greeted at the doorway of your death by your angels, guides and loved ones who passed over before you. You have come to me in my dreams and I thank you. I will honour you in this life, I promise. I know you are now home safe with the Creator and so it is. My love to you now and always until we meet again.
