Hamill, Samuel B.
Born March 1, 1940 in Port Rush, Northern Ireland.
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Samuel B. Hamill on August 23, 2014, after a lengthy illness. He died peacefully surrounded by his family.
Sam is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Lorna Hamill; son John Hamill; daughters Tina (Kirk) Giguere and Kathy (Simon) Dodd; nine cherished grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; sister Marilyn (Rob)Ashton; numerous nieces, nephews and his best friend Mickey Sophonow.
We will all miss Sam dearly, especially his loving hugs and the traditional “I…Love…You” gestures he used when he said goodbye to his grandchildren.
Sam will be fondly remembered for his generosity, patience, kindness, his gentle soul and the love and devotion he had for his wife and family. He was the center of their world.

A Funeral Service was held on Friday, August 29th, 2014 in the Community Gospel Chapel in New Hazelton, BC. Donations in Sam’s memory would be greatly appreciated to the Upper Skeena Hospice, Bag 999, Hazelton, BC V0J 1Y0.
