Patricia Andersson
We regret to announce the death at Vernon Jubilee Hospital on December 20, 2008, of Patricia Andersson, at the age of 71 years. She was a resident of Wells, Smithers, Kitwanga and Hazelton over the years, and was Postmaster at Telkwa for a long time prior to retiring to Lumby in 2003. Patricia was predeceased by her husband, Nils, in July 2008. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her children: Ren (Debbie) Andersson of Terrace and Linn (Neil) Buchanan of Kamloops; grandchildren Tiffany and Bethany of Terrace; sister Lenora Fogarty of Salmon Arm, and brother David Williams of Wells, BC. She also leaves to mourn numerous extended family members in Canada and in Sweden. A gathering to celebrate her life was held on Sunday, December 28, at 1:30 p.m. in the O.A.P. Hall in Lumby. In lieu of flowers, friends wishing to do so may make donations in her memory to the Canadian Cancer Society. The family wish to extend their thanks to Patricia’s many friends at “The Villas” and at the Lumby Legion for their great kindness and support. Also, many thanks to the caring staff and doctors at Vernon Jubilee Hospital and at the Kelowna Cancer Centre. Cremation arrangements are in the care of Vernon Funeral Home 250-542-0155.
