PEERS - Mrs. Muriel Jean Peers passed away suddenly Oct. 27, 2006, at the age of 61, at Telkwa, B.C.
Muriel is survived by her devoted husband Fraser, daughter Joyce (O.D.) Hansen of Calgary, Alta.; sons Bruce (Patricia) MacCarthy of Edmonton, Alta., Brian (Sheila) MacCarthy of Calgary, 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also left to mourn are her stepchildren, Glenn (Cathy) Peers of Austin, TX,. Greg (Margaret) of Invermere, B.C., Susan (Paul) Pierunek of Sundre, Alta., and Steven (Chris) Peers of Winnipeg, Man., and their ten grandchildren.
Muriel will also be dearly missed by her siblings Marion (Jim) Dickie, Lloyd (Marie) Bourinot, Cline (Margaret) Bourinot, Laura (Wamock) Darragh and their families as well as her extended MacCarthy family.
Muriel was predeceased by her father and mother, Marshall and Ina Bourinot, and her first husband Fred MacCarthy. She also leaves behind many many friends.

A celebration of Muriel’s life was held Friday, Nov.. 3, at St. James Anglican Church in Smithers, B.C., with Rev. Doug Campbell officiating. Cremation followed.

Memorial tributes of flowers were appreciated by the family but if friends so desire, tributes to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Diabetes Assoc. will be greatly appreciated.
