McInnis, Mrs. Muriel Doreen McInnis passed away peacefully July 17, 2008 at her home in the Bulkley Lodge at the age of 71 years.

Muriel was born Sept. 13, 1936 in Coquitlam, B.C. Muriel spent years caring for others as a nurse and loving foster mother. Her honesty and genuine concern helped many over the years. Her sense of humour was well known and she always enjoyed a good laugh. The nurses and volunteers at Bulkley Lodge became her extended family. The care and love given to Muriel is greatly appreciated by the family.
Muriel is survived by her loving son, Dwayne (Erin), beloved grandchildren, Kye and Jack, sisters, Nancy (Doug) and Hazel, nieces, nephews and friends.
She was predeceased by husband, Clifford, parents, William and Beatrice Higgins, brothers, Douglas, Gordon and Malcolm, and sister, Irene.
A funeral service for Mrs. Muriel Doreen McInnis will be held on Thursday, July 24 at 2:00 p.m. in the Smithers Anglican Church with Rev. Karen Millard officiating. Memorial tributes to the Bulkley Lodge would be appreciated in lieu of flowers and can be made at the Lodge or to P.O. Box 3641 Smithers, B.C., V0J 2N0.
Interment in the Telkwa Cemetery.
