Melvin (Bud) Wilfred Brandvold passed away peacefully on Monday, June 12, 2006, in Leduc, Alberta, hospital at the age of 77.
Bud was born on Oct. 30, 1928, in Barons, Alta., to Lucille and Leonard Brandvold.
He is lovingly remembered by his five children; Beverly (Donn), Randy (Mickey), Dorothy (John), Cindy (Victor) and Belinda (Greg); 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his brother Stanley, wife Peggy and parents Lucille and Leonard Brandvold.
Bud was a truck driver and spent many, many years on the road – he travelled through Canada and the U.S. and is remembered as saying, “I have driven more miles backing up than you will drive forward.”
The last years he worked were for Bandstra in Smithers.
