Born February 11, 1928 in Nanton, Alberta to parents Scotty and Gladys Patterson of Nanton, Alberta. On May 29, 2017, she passed away peacefully at the age of 89 in Victoria, BC, at Selkirk Place Care Home. Mary is predeceased by her husband Harry.
Mary enjoyed life to the fullest, she enjoyed gardening and riding and was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by her son Leroy (Judy) Griffin, daughter Kathryn (John) Goulet, grandchildren; Neal (Melanie) Griffin, Sheri Griffin, Melissa (Philip) Arkinstall, Crystal (Ryan) Murphy, and great grandchildren; Amaya, Kaelyn, Decker and Marcus. Mary is also survived by her sister Maxine Patterson, two very special nieces Verna Lynn Besselink and Linda M. Martin as well as many nephews in Alberta.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
