Born July 26, 1913, in Toronto, Mitchell passed away suddenly, at home, November 23, 2005. Dr. Greene was a long time resident of Prince Rupert, where he practiced medicine for many years. He was made a Freeman of the City in recognition of the many ways he contributed to the life of the city. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Grace October 7, 2000. Mitchell will be remembered with love and admiration by his family and so many others whose life he touched. He is survived by his children William (Ennis), Michael (Eileen), Patrick (Barbara), and Eleanor (Robin) Elliott, grandchildren Michael (Emilé), Erin, Michelle (Brett) Jones, Jennifer (Mark), Daphne (Jeff) Wettlaufer, Scott, Danielle, and Ryan, great-grandchildren Sophie, Seamus and Lucy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the North Coast Health Improvement Society or the charity of your choice. A service will be held on Monday, November 28, 2005, in Prince Rupert at St. Andrew’s Cathedral at 11:00 AM. A reception to follow in the banquet room at the Crest, noon until 3:00 PM.
