Obituary for

Kenneth Percy Davidson

Nov. 28, 1959 – Nov. 19, 2008

Ken was born at the Bulkley Valley District Hospital in Smithers, British Columbia, Canada. He died unexpectedly at home on the farm where he loved to be. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Percy and Phyllis Davidson and Jack and Ada Wells and his brother, Gordon Davidson. He is survived by his parents, Jim and Beth Davidson, his aunt Margaret Davidson and by his brothers and sisters: Bob (Judy), Kathy, John (Emily), Paul (Alice), Frances Taylor (Mike) and Mary Davidson, and his nephews: Ben, Sean, Daniel, Tyler & Jonathan, as well as aunts and uncles.

Ken lived his whole life in the Bulkley Valley. He attended Happy Valley School in Telkwa. He completed his schooling in 1979. He then started to work full time on the family farm.

Ken was an active member in the St. James Anglican church community. His interests also included keeping track of the farming community. Ken’s memory was excellent and he enjoyed seeing all the people he had met through his life. Regardless of the amount of time that had passed, he could recall their name and would like to say hello. He touched the lives of many people in his community.

The family wishes to thank all their friends and neighbours who have offered condolences and support. A memorial service was held on Nov. 24 that celebrated Ken’s life. In memory of Ken, the family requests any donations be made to St. James Anglican Church (Box 147, Smithers, BC, V0J 2N0). The donations will be used to support Camp Caledonia and other community outreach programs.
