Kathleen “Kathy” Gunderson, 68 years old, of Salt Spring Island, BC, passed away on April 6, 2015, following a life long battle with depression.
Kathy was born in Winnipeg, MB on December 24, 1946. Her greatest loves were raising her boys, music, dancing and spending time with family and friends. Kathy spent most of her days living in British Columbia where she loved being near the mountains and the beauty of nature.
Kathy is survived by her two sons, Cameron Gamble (Nikki) of Queen Charlotte, BC and Shayne Gamble of Calgary, AB; her father Carl of Winnipeg, MB; her brothers Ron of Nanaimo, BC; Bob of Osoyoos, BC; Mitch of Winnipeg, MB and Gary of Surrey, BC. She spent her last days with treasured friends Jeannie, Roger, Jean, Valerie and Peter in Smithers, BC.
Kathy was preceded in death by her mother, Lana Gunderson, of Victoria, BC.
A Memorial service for friends will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at RA Schrader Funeral Home, Smithers, BC. A private interment will take place a later time with her family in Salt Spring Island, BC.
