Hugh Boyce passed away Dec. 2, 2006, at 4:20 p.m. at BV District Hospital.
Hugh was born in Mansonville, Quebec, on Dec. 18, 1918. He was the fifth and last of six children. Hugh first worked with his father in the bush, followed by years of many other occupations
In Aug. 1939, he married his wife, Celista. They had six children while living in Quebec.
In May 1978, Hugh and Celista moved to Smithers. He drove school bus for school district 54 until he retired at age 65.
Hugh loved to fish in the summer and hunt in the fall. He enjoyed going up into the mountains on his 4-wheeler.
Hugh is survived by his wife Celista, children Wyman, Garry, Howard, Carol, Dave, Bob and daughters-in-law and son-in-law; 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by 1 grandson.
Memorial to be held March 10, 2007.
