Kensit, Helen Grace passed away at home in Smithers, B.C. on the 19th of February 2008 at the age of 87 years. Grace leaves to mourn her passing by sons Les (Maureen) of Aurora, Ontario, Larry (Grethe) of New Market, Ont; daughters Carol (Rex) Henry of Smithers, B.C. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her loving husband Art in 2002 and her youngest son Leonard in 1973.
Grace’s love of life and adventures will truly be missed. Her keen sense of humour and fantastic music ability will leave a void for us all. Hearing her play the piano brought great joy to everyone. Although Grace was born in Ontario and lived there for more than 50 years, her love of B.C. was never-ending. Grace loved to tour the entire province and at one time or another lived in most of it. Grace had a special place in her heart for her beloved grandchildren and great grand-children and her legacy will live on through them.
