Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Muir passed away peacefully on March 22, 2016 with her sons at her side in the Prince George hospital. Betty’s presence and endless contributions to many community organizations will be greatly missed by everyone in the community of Smithers which she called home for 65 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and a friend to many residence in the community of Smithers and Telkwa. Many thanks to the countless friends and members of the community for their condolences and support of Betty’s family at this time. A celebration of Betty’s Life will be held at 1 pm on Saturday May 14th 2016 at the Smithers Golf Course. Donations in memory of Betty can be submitted to the Bulkley Valley District Hospital Palliative Care Unit.
