Edith Irene DeFrane

Edith (Irene as she was known) passed away peacefully at the Bulkley Lodge in Smithers with her family present. She succumbed to pneumonia after two falls and a broken hip.
Irene is survived by her children: Larry (Judy) De Frane, Cedar, B.C.; Donna (Allan) Schrader, Smithers, B.C.; Jeanette (Henry) Schulmeister, Terrace, B.C; Phyllis (Jim) Wookey, Terrace, B.C. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 16 great grand children, one brother Walter (Vera) Taylor, Cowichan, B.C., one aunt Harriet Jones, Ponoka, Alberta and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by former husband Alfred DeFrane, brothers George, Kelvin and Sidney Taylor and one great grandchild, Joshua Schulmeister.
She was a special sweet lady that was loved by all who knew and met her. Irene will be fondly remembered and sadly missed.
By the grace of God, there is no more suffering.
