Doreen Cawston passed away at her home with family at her side on June 14, 2003. She was born in Nelson, B.C. May 25, 1931. If you needed a warm meal, place to stay, a hug or an understanding ear, Granny was always there. She will be forever in our hearts. A memorial service was held at the Smithers United Church, Tuesday, June 17, 2003. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Smithers Red Cross loan equipment Service at the B.V. District Hospital.
