Barry Hamilton Williams

Williams Ð Barry Hamilton, born October 25, 1926 in Wales, died of Leukemia, May 8, 2003 in Lions Gate Hospital. He is survived by his devoted wife Elaine, and their three daughters, Janis (Laurie), Laurie and Karen (Paul), and six beloved grandchildren, Jessica, Alexander, Matthew, Natalie, Sebastian, and Antonia, brother Gordon (Betty), sisters Ruby and Mabel, brother-in-law Ted (Florence) and many nieces and nephews.

Barry grew up in the Bulkley Valley after emigrating from Wales in 1928 at the age of two. The family resided on a farm on McCabe Road and Barry attended Driftwood School in the 1930s. Later he at tended schools in Smithers before going on to Burnaby South High School and U.B.C.

Barry had a rewarding and successful career in Engineering Sales, Marketing and Executive Management making many life long friends across Canada.

He enjoyed all of life’s adventures immensely and was know for his integrity, intelligence and wonderful sense of humour. He was a loving husband, father and grand father who will be greatly missed and always remembered.

A service was at Boal Chapel, 1505 Lilloet Road, North Vancouver, B.C. on Saturday, May 17, at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the B.C. Cancer Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
