Barbara Hinchliffe
May 8, 1936 ~ March 31, 2017
Barbara Hinchliffe (nee Doumont) was born in 1936 in New
Westminster. After growing up in Hedley and Prince Rupert she
attained her teaching certificate. She moved to Smithers in
1956 and taught until 1998. Barbara met Ed Hinchliffe and they
were married in 1958.
Barbara was a true teacher in every sense, at school and with
sharing the many crafts and handiwork she did.
She will always be our wife, mother, grandma, and friend.
Thanks to Northern Health, Wellspring, Dr. Strauss and
all who visited her.
A service was held at St. James on April 9, 2017.
