Audrey was born in Olds, Alberta. She married Richard Dial on October 14, 1950, in Calgary, Alberta. The couple settled in Red Deer and had three children. Richard was transferred to Smithers in January of 1969 with his employer, Canadian Propane.
Audrey chose a career in banking, working for the Royal Bank and the Treasury Branch in Alberta. After moving to Smithers she worked with Richard as a bookkeeper with Canadian Propane, but eventually returned to banking. She retired from the Bank of Montreal in 1981. After retirement, Audrey developed a keen interest in genealogy and spent many hours researching family history. She made many good friends and enjoyed helping others with their research as well.
Audrey faced her illness with amazing strength and a positive attitude. She was an inspiration to others and will be sadly missed by her friends and family.
Audrey is survived by her loving husband Richard, children Pat (Val) Dial of Prince George, Laurie Beaton of Smithers, Karen (Lorne) Benson of Smithers and grandchildren Melissa, Mark, Chris, Evy, Richard, Janet and Michelle.
