Pioneer Annie Isabella Bruce

nee Murray

Died peacefully in Smithers at the Bulkley Lodge April 30, 2008.

Annie was born in Price Rupert, B.C. Oct. 27, 1911. Moved to the Bulkley Valley in 1919. Later married Alex Bruce (deceased) and lived for 48 years at Driftwood (Jollymore Rd.), farming.

Annie loved lots and lots of flowers and gardening.

Later in life, she moved around, spent time in Penticton visiting her brother Lawrence (deceased) and sister Kathleen (deceased).

Annie was a certified flower judge, loved to bake pies and made lots of jam for her many friends.

She lead a full, active, happy life.

She will be sadly missed by her daughter Betty (husband Blaine), son Sandy (wife Betty), three granddaughters Robyn Devins, Patty Hinrichs (Port Moody, B.C.) Stephanie Huxtable, five great grandchildren, Alex and Georgia Lee, Brooke, Liam and Kalum, brother Sandy Murray and many other relations, also her four footed companion, Rocky.

Cremation and no memorial service by request. May mom rest in peace, loved and remembered always.
