A moose cow and her calf are in town avoiding predators.

A moose cow with a broken leg is doing a fine job raising a calf, according to Conservation.

They were spotted strolling down Main Street in Smithers Friday morning. Baristas at Bugwood Bean captured this video of them.

Conservation officer Blake Day said they spotted the moose with the broken leg last year around Halloween, but observed she is making due and feeding well. Now with the calf, she is avoiding predators by hanging around town. He said they are monitoring them.

If anyone notices anything that they want to pass on to Conservation, they are invited to call them at 1-877-952-7277.
