This Wednesday is Family Literacy Day at the Northwest Community College Campus in Hazelton from noon until 3 p.m.
There will be pizza and a bonfire with snacks, an outdoor scavenger hunt on snow shoes, stories told by Gitxsan Elders, story time and songs for children, literacy tips for families and toddlers, fun games such as Pictionary, as well as Bananagrams, Sing Star and packages of family literacy activities for all. The event will is being presented as a partnership between the NWCC, LOGS, Storyteller’s Foundation and the Hazelton District Library.
