The town of Smithers has installed new entrance signs, after not having any for three years.

The previous signs on Highway 16 on either side of town were written off in 2021 as they were no longer repairable.

In the interim, other operational priorities for the town took precedence, but after three years, new signs were erected on May 6.

The cost for this project is estimated at $39,000.
